Sr. Security operations Manager

A large US manufacturing firm is looking for a new manager to run their Information Security Operations team. From a technical perspective this person will own event monitoring, incident response, threat detection, and the associated tools. You will be leading a team of 4-6 analysts within a currently growing broader security team.
This is a great opportunity for a current lead to take that full next step into management or for a manager to get the opportunity to own a team along with the processes & tools.
This will be a primarily remote position with travel up to once per month (travel expenses covered). Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience, specifically in security operations, digital forensics, and/or incident management
• 2+ Years in a lead or management position within a security operations team
  • Experience with SLA management & SLA process adherence
• Hands-on experience in security operations, engineering, and adjacent areas
  • Malware analysis
  • Digital Forensics
  • SIEM & log monitoring

Desired Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in information security, computer science, or similar
• Experience building or running remote teams

What You Will Be Doing Tech Breakdown

• 80% Security Operations (IR, monitoring, threat detection)
• 20% Security Engineering & Architecture

Daily Responsibilities

• 30% Hands On
• 70% Management Duties
