Our client is seeking a Social Media Specialist for a long-term contract opportunity in Addison, TX!
Position: Social Media Specialist
Location: Addison, TX
Term: 18 months
Contributes to U.S. Communications and Sales Force Experience strategy and objectives, driving content for the client's Facebook group, a private group of more than 100,000 independent sales force members. Works with internal teams to align efforts and messaging of Company objectives and campaigns, overseeing the creation of social-friendly content. Project manages up to 40 posts per month, designed to educate, increase brand pride and engagement, and create excitement that motivates the independent sales force to take action in their businesses and to become brand ambassadors in their own social media channels. Delivers social analytics to evaluate social channels.
Responsibilities
- Develops Facebook group content strategy that includes up to 40 posts per month, including Facebook Lives.
- In partnership with the Channels Manager, establishes content strategy aligned with other sales force-facing communication channels and optimizes the Facebook group as a critical information resource for the independent sales force.
- Advises partners on how to convert their campaigns and messages into social-friendly content that's easy to understand and has a clear call to action.
- Works with independent sales force members on Facebook Lives to help educate and motivate group members.
- Demonstrates social and digital expertise to internal stakeholders and senior management serving as the subject matter expert and champion for content best practices, social resources and tools, and industry trends.
- Project manages/traffics posts in Workfront from concept through launch, keeping up with tasks and routings.
- Creates monthly content calendar and direction for post creation by Creative partners.
- Leads briefing meetings with project owners and Creative partners to develop concepts and execute on posts.
- Opens jobs in Workfront, assigns tasks, routes content and finalizes for launch.
- Provides social media expertise to the organization.
- Uses analytics and data-driven insights to ensure objectives are met and identify new opportunities and recommendations to optimize and grow social media presence and capabilities.
- Delivers meaningful performance metrics and reports to measure social program effectiveness.
- Actively follows industry experts in social media; and continually stays abreast of best practices in social platforms. Explores new technology trends, solutions and innovation recommending new opportunities.
- Monitors and handles intake/vetting of daily member requests and monthly terminations. This is a manual process using multiple applications.
Skills & Experience
- Experience: 5+ years
- Field of Experience: Cumulative work experience in a social media, communications, marketing/ digital marketing role. Proficient in a project management tool like WorkFront required. Cosmetics and direct selling industry experience highly preferred.
- Education: Bachelor/University Degree
- Education Focus: Bachelors degree, or equivalent, Social Media Marketing, Communications / Journalism, Marketing, and/or related field.
- Spanish is a plus, but not required.
Additional Skills & Abilities
- Must have integrated marketing experience with demonstrated in depth knowledge and experience with social media planning, channels, and engagement.
- Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of existing and emerging social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest, etc.), their respective participants, and how each platform can be deployed and cross-leveraged in different scenarios.
- Translates complex data into smartly contextualized conclusions and reports. Ability to advise stakeholders on making data-driven decisions.
- Critical to this positions success is the ability to manage multiple routine projects with attention to detail. Expected to deal with ambiguity and rapidly changing priorities.
- Must be self-sufficient, able to prioritize and organize.
- Must have strong interpersonal, diplomacy and communication skills to effectively communicate, collaborate, and provide direction to internal staff, executives and IBCs. Must have good presentation skills and be comfortable presenting in front of large audiences.
- Must be able to collaborate with internal Creative partners and cross functional teams.
- Must be able to help develop brand experiences from an Independent Sales Force point of view. This requires an understanding of the client's Product line and Independent Beauty Consultants to be acquired.
- Demonstrated proficiency in writing is required.
