Scientific Software Developer (C++ or Java)

A cutting-edge scientific computer software company is currently recruiting for a Scientific Software Engineer. They partner with the DOD, NASA, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and many other clients to provide custom software and data analytics for a variety of projects ranging from satellite analytics to human modeling simulations to atmospheric radiation detection.

In this role you will be building out a platform that enables users to create complex simulations using an intuitive graph builder. This will allow users to then execute these simulations on a diverse range of distributed computing platforms. Ideal candidates for this position will have 5+ years of software engineering experience in C++ or Java development and enjoys solving complex problems in all areas. This includes but is not limited to database architecture, UI design, and API construction. 

Required

• 5+ yrs experience using C++ or Java 
• Version Control Systems
• B.S degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field
• US Citizenship required

Desired

• Experience with other object oriented languages
  • Kotlin, C#, Python
• GWT, Javascript
• Eclipse or NetBeans
• Masters or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Math, Physics
• Laser source, beam control, or optics experience
• Secret Clearance - ideal but not needed to start
