The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation of supporting a federal chief information security officer (CISO) team with a large variety of security and infrastructure solutions in the cloud and in on-premises data centers.? The candidate should be well versed in cloud security solutions in Azure, O365 and Splunk.? The ideal candidate is passionate about what they do and will be able to work autonomously and collaboratively to engineer enduring solutions for our clients in a fast-paced environment.

What You Will Be Doing:
- Integrate with the Cyber and Operations teams to act as security SME and assist with connecting to new and existing security related tooling
- Proactively research technical issues and develop, recommend, and implement solutions
- Review and assist teams with architectural decisions as they pertain to security best practices.
- Support Splunk engineering requirements
- Support the creation and sustainment of CDM and Splunk dashboards
- Develop processes to harden Azure images and on-prem instances
- Support Linux OS with patching, system maintenance for CISO systems.
- Participate as part of the Incident Response escalation processes
- Perform research and development on new Cloud offerings from a variety of Cloud Platforms
- Work independently, be a self-starter, and able to operate in a proactive way
- Communicate effectively (both oral and written) with executives and non-technical audiences
- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills; logical thinker and intellectual curiosity
Required Skills & Experience:
- Current active DoD Secret clearance required
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related field
- 1+ years of experience with Splunk and SIEM tools
- 1+ years of experience of administering IaaS and Linux based environments.
- 2+ years of Security Engineering
- Proven experience building and reviewing architectures with a focus on security best practices.
- Active Secret Clearance (or ability to obtain Secret Clearance)
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Experience working in the government sector (local, state, or federal)
- Experience with 0365 and 0365 security capabilities.
- 2+ years of experience of working in Azure and O365 environments
- Experience with implementing observability and altering into new and existing clusters?
- Experience implementing security controls in new and existing architectures coupled with the ability to communicate successfully with the greater security organization is required
