Senior Data Engineer - Python/AWS/Spark

Job Description
This is a remote opportunity based out of the DMV area (Arlington, VA specifically).

Our client is searching for a Senior Data Engineer that will be part of a team of data subject matter experts, driving change and development within the engineering department and working closely with teams in the software and data science/machine learning realms. You will be working heavily in Python, Spark, and AWS.

Required Skills & Experience

• Python 
• Spark/Pyspark
•  AWS (Lambda, Glue, SageMake, EC2, S3, etc.)
• MySQL, Postgres, etc.
• Experience designing and implementing ETL pipelines.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar
• 5+ years of data engineering experience in a professional experience

Desired Skills & Experience

• Master's Degree in Computer Science or similar
• Experience mentoring junior data engineers
