Senior System Engineer

We’re helping a renowned video game development firm in recruiting a full-time Senior System Engineer within their Game Technology Services team. You’ll be onsite five days a week in Chicago, gaining hands-on experience in diverse cloud environments and data centers. Expect to be presented with continuous intricate challenges to refine and broaden your technical skills.

Your role will involve tending to the unique requirements of game development and guaranteeing peak performance of all systems. As a leader, you will guide the implementation of optimal practices for both internal and external hosting on AWS and VMware platforms. You will work closely with technical leadership and fellow engineers to contribute to the establishment of the overarching technical design and architecture.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3-5+ years of experience
• Scripting proficiency (Python, Bash, or Powershell)
• Expertise in design (NetApp, Cisco USC, and VMware)
• Skilled in Linux/Unix environment
• Familiarity Datadog and SolarWinds
• Automation/configuration management
• Working understanding of essential internet protocols (IP, TCP, UDP, NTP, DNS, SNMP, HTTP, SMTP, SSH, SMB, NFS)

Desired Skills & Experience

• Prior experience in supporting game development.
• Self-sufficiency in work
• Microsoft Windows
