One of the world's most advanced automotive companies is searching for a Site Operations Manager to lead their Data Center Strategy team in Auburn Hills, MI. This role will be responsible for developing and executing a plan to modernize and update their 55+ IT Facilities in a manner that promotes high uptime, capacity availability, and carbon-neutral operation.
This great opportunity to define the data center architecture for multiple sites alongside industry experts begins on an ongoing W2 contract that offers full benefits and the potential to convert to permanent employment.
Responsibilities:
- Meet with business owners and stakeholders at data facilities to gather requirements around their specific IT needs
- Oversee the implementation of all new IT facilities projects including architecture definition, solution management, budgetary approvals, etc.
- Maintain optimal site operation through the creation and implementation of preventative maintenance programs
- Perform site audits to determine any risks resulting from compliance deviation
- Work cross-functionally with all aspects of the data center including HVAC and cooling, cabling, electrical design, etc.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field
- At least 10 years of experience working within IT Data Center Operations
- A minimum of 5 years of experience architecting, installing, and decommissioning data centers
- Previous experience working with all facilities of a data center including HVAC/cooling, cable management, electrical system design, physical security, etc.
- Strong knowledge of on-prem to colocation and cloud data center migration
- Certified Data Center Design Professional (CDCDP) certification preferred
- Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred
- Other BICSI certifications preferred: Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD), Data Center Design Consultant (DCDC)
