Job Summary:
The Network Security Engineer will play a crucial role in safeguarding the Aerospace company that we are working with network infrastructure from potential cyber threats. This position involves designing, implementing, and maintaining security measures to protect the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of the company's data and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Network Security Design and Implementation:
    • Design, implement, and manage network security architecture, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, VPNs, and other security appliances.
  2. Incident Response and Monitoring:
    • Monitor network traffic for unusual activity and respond promptly to security incidents.
    • Investigate and resolve security breaches and vulnerabilities.
  3. Security Policies and Compliance:
    • Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards in compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  4. Access Control and Authentication:
    • Manage user access and authentication systems, including role-based access control (RBAC) and multi-factor authentication (MFA) solutions.
  5. Vulnerability Management:
    • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify and address potential security weaknesses.
  6. Security Awareness and Training:
    • Provide training and awareness programs for staff to educate them about security best practices.
  7. Security Documentation:
    • Maintain up-to-date documentation of network security configurations, procedures, and incident reports.
  8. Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, development, and operations, to ensure security is integrated into all aspects of the network infrastructure.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or similar certifications are a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewall technologies, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption protocols.
  • Proficiency in security tools and software (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, antivirus, etc.).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
