One of the world's largest automotive manufacturers is searching for a Speech Validation Engineer to join their team in Belmont, CA. The role will be responsible for validating speech functions across all infotainment submodules (General, Radio, Media, Phone, Navigation) for user input comprehension and speech synthesis in cutting-edge vehicles.

This unique opportunity to work with some of the most advanced technologies the automotive industry begins on an ongoing, W2 contract with the potential to extend indefinitely or convert to permanent employment.

Responsibilities:
  • System and concept validation through the creation of test procedures and plans that efficiently perform laboratory and field test drives
  • Validate speech functions across infotainment modules to ensure smooth speech synthesis and consistent comprehension of user input
  • Execute functional testing in laboratory and field environments
  • Establish and maintain an error-reporting database
  • Ensure actuality and function of test setups (systems and vehicles), maintain and operate infotainment test-bench systems
  • Prepare vehicles for test drives
  • Build up, package, and integrate new prototypes into cars

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, Automotive, IT, or related fields
  • Native English speaking skills
  • 4-6 years of experience with embedded and integrated automotive electronic systems
  • Ability to utilize CAN/CANalyzer/CANoe
  • Vehicle ECU coding and architecture experience including CAN and Ethernet/networking knowledge
  • Must have a valid Driver's License (CA) without points. If coming from out of state, you must acquire a CA DL within 30 days of arrival
