Cyber Incident Response Managing Consultant

A cyber security consulting company is looking for a managing consultant to lead client engagements relating to cyber incident response. You would be managing a small team (2-5) to work with companies on everything from low-level intrusion to full-on breaches & malware attacks. Responsibilities would include malware analysis, post-breach recovery, digital forensics, breach investigations, and advising on future counter-measures.
Prior experience in a consulting capacity is preferred, but not required: scoping & budgeting client engagements, reporting, and providing recommendations.
This is a remote role with some (less than 20%) travel. Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ Years in information Security, including exposure to incident response
• 1+ Year in a people leadership position
• Familiarity with some of the following techniques & technologies:
  • Digital Forensics
  • Malware Analysis
  • Cloud technologies (AWS/Azure/GCP)
  • Network traffic monitoring & log analysis
  • Active Director & associated controls
  • Relevant IR tools (ex. crowdstrike)

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience in a consulting/client-facing organization
• Relevant certifications: CISM, GCIH, CISM, etc
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Computer science, information systems, computer security, etc)

What You Will Be Doing Tech Breakdown

• 90% Incident response
• 10% Miscellanious Security

Daily Responsibilities

• 50% Hands On
• 50% Management Duties
