Network Security Engineer

A Healthcare organization in PA is looking to grow their network security team in light up upcoming & current projects. In this role you will be working network & security engineers to design & implement secure network systems, controls, and monitoring solutions. An ideal role for someone with one foot firmly in both the security & networking domains. Work examples include firewall configuration, network compliance, vulnerability testing & remediation, content filtering, and integrating with detection/operations teams (NOC/SOC).
This is a hybrid position with a small number of locations in the Philadelphia area & surrounding suburbs, and will require some amount of site visitation (20-40% on-site, 60-80% remote). Required Skills & Experience

• 4+ Years’ experience in some combination of networking & Security
• Familiarity with
  • Firewall configuration (Cisco preferred)
  • Network Segmentation
  • Network monitoring
  • SIEM, VPN, SSL, etc

Desired Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Information systems, computer security, or similar
• Relevant certifications (CCNA, Security+, CISSP, etc)

What You Will Be Doing Tech Breakdown

• 30% Network Security (Firewalls, Proxies, etc)
• 30% core networking
• 40% Misc. Security (SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, etc)

Daily Responsibilities

• 80% Hands On
• 20% Team Collaboration
