This client is seeking a Senior Windows Desktop Engineer to join a dynamic support team. The Senior Windows Desktop Engineer will manage desktop and application solutions to meet the business needs of the organization. The ideal candidate must be capable of solving user support issues while collaborating with other support engineers. This role will provide direct technical assistance and support to Technical Support Specialists and work directly with external customers to resolve issues in live production environments. Candidates will be measured by their ability to resolve complex hardware and software issues while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

This is an ongoing contract position, and is hybrid in Downtown Boston. 
Required Skills & Experience
  • • A minimum of five to seven years of experience in supporting Windows 10 Enterprise and LTSC, Microsoft Office 2016 or higher including MS Access, Symantec Endpoint Protection 12 or higher, printing environment including deployment of new printers and shared print queues, configuring and troubleshooting desktop hardware (Dell and HP preferred) to include image creation and maintenance, remote user support, and Microsoft Active Directory administration including user creation and modification.
  •  A BA/BS in an engineering or technology related field or equivalent 5 years of related experience required
  • MCSA or MCSE Certification • Role-specific IT Certifications (MS Support, Windows OS, Network, A+, etc.)
  •  Advanced Windows and Windows Server OS Knowledge (Win 7/8/10/2008/2012/2016)
  • Advanced knowledge of desktop and peripheral troubleshooting •
  •  Ability to occasionally travel throughout the Commonwealth for site visits
  • A valid driver’s license
