A prominent subsection of the State of Mass is looking to onboard a Senior Desktop Support Engineer. In this role, you will meet the organization’s business needs by managing desktop and application solutions. A successful candidate will have the skills to resolve user support issues while collaborating with other support engineers. You will participate in and lead initiatives and projects, meet deadlines, and deliver quality results. Additionally, this role will provide direct technical assistance and support to Technical Support Specialists and work directly with external customers to resolve issues in live production environments.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to work with customers to provide system support focused on improving hardware and system performance, as well as overall customer satisfaction. You will be measured by your ability to resolve complex hardware and software issues while delivering an exceptional customer experience. The ideal candidate with have 5-7 years of experience in supporting Windows 10, Microsoft Office 2016, Symantec Endpoint Protection, Active Directory, Desktop Hardware Support (Dell/HP), MCSA or MCSE and windows patch management.
This will be a fully onsite position requiring 5 days a week in Downtown Boston and all candidates must either be U.S. citizens or Green Card holders as this position cannot provide sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Technical support for desktop and laptop computers running Windows 10 and Microsoft Office 2016
- Manage Symantec Endpoint Protection and implement necessary policies to ensure endpoint security
- Manage and maintain Active Directory users and computers, groups, and policies
- Provide hardware support for Dell and HP desktops and laptops
- Implement Windows patch management policies to ensure system security
- Maintain and update hardware and software inventory using Manage Engine AD360 and Lansweeper ITAM
- Manage Desktop deployments, software deployments, and updates using SCCM
- Utilize Bomgar Remote Support to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
- Writes scripts and automates tasks to improve efficiency and streamline processes
- Bachelor’s degree in CS, IT or a related field
- 57 years of experience in supporting Windows 10, Microsoft Office 1026, Symantec endpoint protection, Active directory, Desktop Hardware Support (Dell/HP), MCSA or MCSE and windows patch management
- Valid Drivers license
- Covid19 vaccination
