This client is seeking a Helpdesk Sr. Specialist to join their team and provide outstanding customer service to end users on a variety of technical issues. The successful candidate will identify, research and resolve technical problems, responding quickly to telephone calls, email and other requests from personnel. The Helpdesk Sr. Specialist will provide support for desktop hardware, printers, application support, security administration and telephone administration. The position may require travel to sites in downtown Boston, Springfield, Charlestown and other locations within Massachusetts.
As a Helpdesk Sr. Specialist, your primary responsibility is to provide exceptional customer service to end users on a variety of technical issues. This will involve identifying, researching and resolving technical problems, responding quickly to telephone calls, email and other requests from personnel. Additionally, you will be expected to provide support for desktop hardware, printers, application support, security administration and telephone administration. You will also have the opportunity to participate in special projects as assigned, continuously improve systems and processes, track issues using appropriate tracking systems and ensure compliance with Service-Level Agreements (SLA). With these responsibilities, you will play an integral role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the client's technical systems, and provide critical support to end users.
This is a hybrid role that requires 2-3 days a week in the office located in Downtown Boston, along with additional travel in the Greater Boston area at times.
- 1-5 years of IT Support experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Active Directory experience.
- Cisco VPN experience.
- Experience with desktop computers and laptops.
- Office 365 experience.
- Windows 10 experience.
- Windows Networking experience.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to travel to other locations in MA.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
