Lead Full Stack Engineer

My client is seeking a Lead Full Stack Engineer to join their team. They offer an online platform that connects small business owners all across the country. They have over 5M users and help companies collaborate, share ideas, and drive the small business economy. They are looking for a tech lead who has previous leadership experience that wants to grow their skills. 

You will mentor/guide staff to help them grow and achieve development goals, as well as use Ruby on Rails and React to work on high-level new feature development. You will also be involved with their mission to promote and celebrate more diversity in tech. The ideal candidate is results-oriented, self-motivated, and pragmatic Full Stack Software Engineer who is not only passionate about building highly scalable and user-friendly web applications, but also wants to see their work help small businesses be successful. 

Required Skills and Experience:

• Proficiency writing code in Ruby or another Object Oriented language, HTML/CSS and Javascript

• Experience with Postgres, MySQL, or similar databases

• At least 3+ years of experience writing code in a professional work environment 

• You have used AWS to build and deploy software 

• You’ve worked on an agile team and delivered software via Scrum, Kanban, or another Agile methodology 

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Experience developing Ruby on Rails systems at a scale is a plus

• Experience with Python and Pandas is a plus 

• Passionate about diversity in tech
