We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer, where you will work on our clients transit technology system. The team works as part of the supply chain and logistics group and is responsible for optimizing pricing, automating shipping logistics and tracking packages. Our client has been the retail industry leader for years.

As a Lead Software Engineer on the team, you will design algorithms and develop applications in areas of transportation systems. They are in Framingham, MA but they do offer fully remote options. We look forward from hearing from you!

Required Skills & Experiences:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field 
  • 10+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Experience with Java Frameworks implementing microservices
  • Expertise building scalable implementations with modern data processing frameworks and relational databases
Desired Skills & Experiences:
  • Keen attention to detail, ability to dive deep, and expert problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Technology stack: Java 8+, Spring Boot, Oracle, MySql, Postgres, Kafka, Couchbase, Apache Spark, Netflix OSS, Linux, Microsoft Azure

  • 90% backend
  • 10% frontend
Daily Responsibilities
  • Apply algorithms and develop applications in areas of transportation systems
  • Work across the full stack, building highly scalable distributed solutions that enable positive user experiences and measurable business growth
  • Utilize and promote cloud-first approach, event driven architecture
  • Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high standards of code quality and thoughtful application design
  • Work closely with product management and program management to derive application requirements, set expectations, and communicate progress
