Senior Android Developer

Job Description An industry leader in the smart home automation space is expanding their mobile team. They are looking for experienced Android Developers to help them redevelop and deliver a modern and easy to use application for their customers to manage any smart device they have in their home. They could be used to monitor security cameras, set heating and cooling preferences, adjust room lighting, auto lock doors, and many other features.
They are looking for an Android engineer who is well versed in Java and Kotlin and Bluetooth connected devices. Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mobile software development with Kotlin, Java, and Android Studio
• 3+ years of experience working with consumer products or Bluetooth connected devices
• Ability to think strategically about product decisions and gain support across multiple teams
• Experience communication skills both verbal and written
• Modern software architecture principals like MVVM, MVC, MVP, and SOLID
• B.S. in Computer Science or related field or commensurate work experience

What You Will Be Doing

• Create and deliver new and redesigned features specifically focused around efficiency and
• Collaborate with engineering, design, QA, and Product Management team members from across various business units
• Define and establish new architectural and tooling for your immediate team
• Clearly establish and set up strategic vision for teams to follow
• Participate in conversations and group sessions surrounding innovation in the Android development space and discuss how to improve product performance across the business
