Job Description
My team and I are partnering with a dynamic financial company, that is seeking a skilled SRE to join their thriving team in the Charlotte area. At this company you will enjoy the agility and innovation of a startup while reaping rewards of a well-established company. This is a 6-month contract-to-hire position, offering an exciting pathway to potential full-time engagement.
The company is looking for candidates who have 5+ years as an SRE and using AWS services, CI/CD pipelines, and developing infrastructure-as-code. If you are someone that is hungry to make a difference, to innovate and see your ideas materialize into impactful solutions, you’re the perfect match. This role has a combo of hands-on technical work and consulting on SRE practices with other SRE, Data, and app development teams.

Contract Duration: 6 months
Required Skills & Experience

• Linux
• Python
• 5+ years’ experience as SRE or similar role in a production environment
• 5+ years’ experience with AWS services (Fragate, Lambda, Aurora DB, Dynamo DB, ALB)
• 5+ years’ working experience with CI/CD pipelines (Gitlab) and developing infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible, etc.)

Desired Skills & Experience

• Strong Knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and network protocols
• Experience with distrusted systems and microservices architecture
• Proficiency in programming or scripting language such as Python, Java or Bash
• Hands on experience with monitoring and logging tools
• Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and principles

What You Will Be Doing
Daily Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional team to design, build, and maintain robust, scalable, and fault-tolerant systems.
• Work closely with development team and architects to advocate for reliability best practices during the application and development lifestyle.
• Design and implement monitoring and alerting to provide real-time visibility into user experience, systems health and performance.
