We are looking to bring on a network engineer for an MSP in the Charlotte Metro area. Candidates must have experience with Cisco routers and switches and Aruba/Fortinet. This is a full-time role.

Required Skills & Experience
• Minimum requirement of CCNA certification.
• Proficiency in Cisco VoIP systems, specifically CUCM (Cisco Unified Communications Manager) and UCCX (Cisco Unified Contact Center Express).
• Strong knowledge and practical experience with TCP/IP protocols and their implementation.
• Familiarity with common back-office applications, including but not limited to Microsoft Windows Operating System (multiple versions), Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel and Outlook).
• Ability to work independently on multiple tasks or projects, showcasing exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
• Exhibit a high level of professionalism in all aspects of work.
• Proficiency in producing and maintaining documentation for information security systems using various tools such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft SharePoint, etc.
• Flexibility to work different shifts, including 5 x 8 hours, and participate in an on-call rotation.
• Working knowledge of IP internetworking/IP routing protocols (such as OSPF, BGP), Quality of Service (QoS), IP multicast, etc.
• Hands-on experience in installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and resolving errors related to network, LAN, WAN, and WLAN technologies, including firewalls, routers, switches, wireless controllers, and wireless access points.
What You Will Be Doing
• Maintain and troubleshoot various networking systems, including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless systems, and end-user network clients.
• Install, configure, and test updates and upgrades to network hardware and firmware.
• Ensure comprehensive documentation of all work actions in accordance with standard policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with internal and external technical teams to address and resolve technical issues.
• Conduct systems testing and perform operational tasks for a wide range of network systems.
• Support multiple technical systems in a 24x7 operational environment with high uptime requirements, which may involve working on varied shift schedules, including day, night, and weekend hours.
