Application Security Engineer with Software Dev Experience / Greater Philly Area

This local non-profit based in the medical field has quite the cutting-edge security program, which isn’t normally seen in the nonprofit space. They are hiring an Application Security Engineer to join their established and specialized team. If you are looking for a highly technical role where you can dive head first into application security, look no further! This is a full-time, mostly remote role – this person will need to come into the office only once per quarter. Candidates must reside in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, or Maryland.

Ideal candidates will have a software development background in addition to professional cyber security experience. Skills in securing CI/CD pipelines, OWSAP, SAST/DAST, and general knowledge of SDLC are strongly preferred. Required Skills & Experience

• Professional experience in cyber security, preferably application security
  • OWASP
  • SAST/DAST
• Software development background, or ability to code (any language)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience as a professional software developer
