Cloud Security Engineer

This renowned chemical company is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to lead their efforts in defensive security. The role involves securing their cloud infrastructure (Azure), assessing potential security risks, integrating security practices into new cloud projects, and collaborating with other teams. The position offers a balance of hands-on technical security and advisory work with other teams, and also involves the opportunity to hire and lead team members. The job is full-time and can be done remotely anywhere in the US (preferably EST time zone). 

To be considered, candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, with at least 3 years of experience in cloud environments (preferably Azure). Experience in developing security policies and procedures is also required. Excellent communication skills are necessary. A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is desirable, along with cloud certifications and experience in migrating to cloud environments. 

Required Skills & Experience

• At least 5 years of professional experience in cyber security

• 3+ years of professional experience in cloud environments (Azure preferred, AWS ok if you also have Azure certifications)

• Experience developing security policies and procedures

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desired Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

• Cloud certifications

• Experience with migrating to cloud environments
