Data Engineer

We’re looking for a Data Engineer to join a well-known manufacturer of heavy equipment used in industries such as construction, mining, and agriculture. It has a global presence, operating in over 190 countries. This role can be remote but they also have their Chicago Tech Hub in in the city for those that would like a hybrid environment.
As a crucial contributor to this team, you will be responsible for dealer data ingestion, processing, normalization, storage, and consumption. You will work independently and collaboratively with peers, participating in daily stand-up meetings, agile ceremonies, and completing sprint commitments. Our ideal candidate is a bachelor's degree holder in computer science with 5+ years of experience in Object-oriented programming in Python and 3+ years of experience in AWS (lambda and/or glue, EMR, S3) and SQL. A bonus if you have experience in event-driven frameworks, Kinesis or Kafka, and working in an Agile methodology. Required Skills & Experience

• Exp with Object oriented programming using Python (2+ years)
• AWS (3+ years overall exp) using Lambda and/or Glue, EMR, S3
• SQL (3+ years)

Desired Skills & Experience

• Event driven experience with Kinesis or Kafka
• Familiar with working in Agile methodology
• 2+ years exp in test driven development, unit test, integration testing, regression testing
