We are looking for a Data Warehouse Developer to join one of the Nation’s best Universities located here in Chicago. This role will be within their Data Science department to develop software to support the University’s research. You will collaborate with the Engineering Team and interdisciplinary research groups across the University to produce robust and scalable systems.
The job responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining the data warehouse using Oracle database and Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) for ETL. The candidate should work with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for data warehousing solutions and develop ETL jobs using ODI to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the data warehouse. They should perform performance tuning of the data warehouse, ETL jobs, and SQL queries to ensure optimal performance and scalability, and develop and maintain data models using Kimball methodology for data warehousing design. Additionally, the candidate should support data operations by monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving data issues and collaborate with the development team to integrate data warehouse solutions with other enterprise systems. Required Skills & Experience
  • Minimum requirements include a college or university Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Minimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through 3-7 years of work experience in a related job discipline.
  • Experience in data warehousing development, implementation, and support, strong SQL analysis skills, and experience in database tuning and optimization.
  • The ideal candidate should also have at least 3 years of experience in Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) 12c version, and preference is given to those with experience in data modeling using Kimball methodology.

  • Additionally, the candidate should possess excellent team player skills, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

  • Past work with faculty and or students in higher education.
