Cyber Security Engineer

A non-profit company focusing on providing treatment focusing on specific disorders is looking to add a Cyber Security Engineer to the team! This role can either be hybrid or remote in Illinois. The ideal candidate should have a background in either Network or Systems and transitioned into Security and able to approach multiple Cyber Security tasks. Some tasks will include Incident Response, IAM, Vulnerability Management, SIEM/SOAR, and more! This role is part of a team that is involved in a very exciting and fast-growing company! Required Skills & Experience

• Systems or Network knowledge, coming from that kind of background.
• Understanding of Endpoint Security and Incident Response duties.
• Ability to participate in Vulnerability Management, with tools such as Tennable or Rapid7.
• Infrastructure coding experience is preferred.
• Exposure to any cloud platforms.
• Understanding of Pen Testing and SIEM/SOAR implementations.
• Thorough understanding of different concepts, technologies, and controls.
• Ability to build frameworks from scratch when needed, build more automation.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other relevant field.
• TCP/IP and OSI experience is a plus.
• Exposure to O365 solutions.
• Any certifications are a plus.
• Maintaining composure under pressure, strong critical thinking.
• Good communication skills, able to work successfully with other teams.
• Team player! Able to work well with others and adapt to work environments.
