Job Description
Our cutting-edge trading firm with global reach and innovation at its core, is offering a unique full-time hybrid role in our Data Engineering division, based in our Chicago, Illinois office. We specialize in providing liquidity as an options market-maker – meaning we are committed to providing competitive quotes that we are willing to both buy and sell. To do this successfully, we design and implement our own low latency technologies, trading strategies, and mathematical models.
Be part of our dynamic team, driving the expansion of our data platform across diverse sources and collaborating closely with Trading, Quant, and Compliance teams. As part of this team, you'll drive data platform expansion, collaborate with teams, build ETL pipelines, mentor junior developers, and challenge the status quo. With a technical background, Scala expertise, and experience with data technologies like Spark, Kafka, and cloud platforms, you'll play a crucial role in our Agile, high-impact projects.

Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of professional experience developing software applications.
- Scala Experience
- Prior hands-on experience with data platforms and technologies such as Delta Lake, Spark, Kafka, ClickHouse, and/or AWS Aurora PostgreSQL / RDS
- Experience with containerization and container orchestration technologies, like Docker, Kubernetes, and ArgoCD
- Python Experience
- Recent hands-on experience with AWS or other public cloud providers (GCP, Azure)
- Financial data expertise
