Lead Ruby Engineer

We are currently working with a Fintech company in Manhattan looking for a lead Ruby on Rails engineer. Their easy to use customer facing app specializes in assistance with handling personal debt quickly. You'd be using mostly Ruby on Rails and leading a team of 4 to take charge of their Back End.

Responsibilities

• Work with Ruby on Rails to build out their applications
• Lead other developers and designers to improve usability
• Get feedback from, and build solutions for, users and clients
• Create mockups and prototypes
• Ensure high quality standards and brand consistency
• Stay up-to-date on relevant emerging technologies

Requirements

• At least 8 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer
• Minimum 5 years of hands on experience working with Ruby on Rails
• Proficient understanding of the entire web development process
• An ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
• Client facing experience
• Excellent analytical and multitasking skills
• BSc degree in Computer Science or relevant field preferred
