Lead Software Engineer- Ruby on Rails

Job Description You’ll work closely with a leadership team to help guide technology and product decisions for this company’s core back-end services platform. It’s a small group that values clear communication, transparency, and collaboration.
This company is looking for a Lead Software Engineer who will be responsible for leading a team and making decisions for greenfield projects that will drive the business for the next 3-5 years. There are 3 software engineering teams with 16 software engineer’s total. Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of experience using Ruby on Rails
• 3-5 years designing and building consumer-facing web platforms.
• Experience developing, releasing, and maintaining production-quality software using Ruby on Rails
• Strong knowledge of database design and writing SQL statements

Desired Skills & Experience

• Work with devops team to ensure CI/CD pipeline built with CircleCI, Jenkins, and AWS.
• Clear and efficient communications skills
• Mentorship skills and the ability to give well-crafted constructive feedback.
• Experience developing, releasing, and maintaining production-quality software using Ruby on Rails
• Expertise in building and consuming APIs
