Linux Tech Support

Job Description:
We are helping a non-profit that specializes in data management and sharing solutions hire full time Linux Tech Support. This company helps universities, research organizations, and scientists handle and exchange data. Their services are widely used in the research community to streamline data related tasks, enabling researchers to focus on their work while ensuring the efficient and secure management and sharing of valuable research data.

You will be doing L2/L3 support work but also have some Linux Admin responsibilities. Their software is extremely complicated, so you will be supporting a lot of different systems as well as 7 separate cloud services. You should have networking experience specifically firewalls since they come up often. You should also have familiarity with large storage systems.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proficiency with L2/L3 support
• Linux (Redhat & Centos)
• Bash Scripting
• No Windows experience

Desired Skills & Experience:

• 5-7 years of experience
• At least an Associates degree from an accredited University

• 70% Hands on
