Linux Tech Support

Job Description We are helping a non-profit research organization hire full time Linux Tech Support. They are offering remote work except for coming into the office a few times a year for small conferences. The company helps universities, scientists and research organizations handle data management and data sharing solutions.
They are looking for someone to join their team of two to make three people. You will have Linux admin responsibilities as well as L2/L3 support. They have 7 different cloud services, so you will be supporting a lot of different systems. It is important that you have some network understanding especially since firewalls come up a bit. Required Skills & Experience

• Experience with L2/L3
• Linux (Redhat, Centos)
• Some familiarity with networking
• Bash scripting
• No Windows background

Desired Skills & Experience

• 7 YOE
• Must have at least an associate degree from an accredited university
• Architect/principal experience
• Strong understanding of infrastructure systems & concepts and performance turning skills
