Network Engineer

We are helping one of the largest and most well-respected law firms hire full time Network Engineers for their Chicago office. This firm has expertise in areas such as private equity, corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, restricting, and more. They infuse innovation and entrepreneurial spirit into every project, which has led to establishing enduring client partnerships with prominent global corporations and financial sponsors.

You will oversee the introduction of new networking technologies, maintain the network’s day-to-day functionality, and manage any changes to the deployed network technologies to ensure a secure and efficient network environment. Your role will develop consistent infrastructure methods and ensure uniform configuration. You will also manage configuration reporting and corrections.
Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience
• LAN & WAN networking standard protocols
• Skilled in using and configuring network monitoring tools (SolarWinds NPM/NCM, Cisco Prime Infrastructure & Riverbed SCC)
• Cisco routing, switching and wireless.
• Cisco Security Manager, Cisco Firepower Manager, Cisco ISE Administration, and Cisco Stealthwatch.
• Network and security certifications (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE)

Desired Skills & Experience

• Familiar with scripting for process automation to enhance network management efficiency.
• Ability to collaborate productively with external vendors and telecom carriers.
• B.S. in computer science preferred.
