Security Manager - Data, Privacy, Risk and Compliance

A Chicago based company sitting in the financial industry is looking to add a Security Manager to the team, hybrid in Chicago a couple days a week! This candidate should have a strong understanding and experience with Data Security and Privacy Compliance standards. This Manager should have experience and knowledge working with different privacy standards and responsibilities, and able to collaborate with other teams to address compliance and risk mitigations and incidents. Required Skills & Experience

• At least 5 years of experience working in DLP or privacy field.
• Exposure to cloud environments, such as AWS and Azure.
• Ability to understand security incidents, and how to act upon incidents.
• Able to help implement privacy standards, and work within certain security objectives.
• Experience building privacy programs.
• Able to work both hands-on and hands-off.
• Knowledge of privacy laws and standards to help adapt and maintain compliance.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other relevant field.
• Experience working in a Financial environment is a plus.
• Understanding of standards such as HIPPA, SOC2, NIST.
• Any certification is a plus.
• Good communication skills, able to work successfully with other teams.
• Team player! Able to work well with others and adapt to work environments.
