Are you passionate about fintech and software solutions for the investment management industry? We are working with a leading global fintech SaaS firm that specializes in building cutting-edge software solutions for investment management. They have a cloud-native multi-tier investment management platform that is used by over 700 funds, from family offices to hedge funds, and we've been recognized for our excellence in innovation.

We're seeking a self-motivated and experienced Senior Database Administrator (DBA) to join their dynamic team of experts. As a Senior DBA, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our existing database infrastructure and ensuring the smooth operation of day-to-day activities. Your responsibilities will include handling break/fix situations, capacity management, backup and recovery, database High Availability Clusters, replication setup/management, and ongoing database change reviews. You'll be working in collaboration with a team of two other DBAs, contributing your skills to optimize our MySQL database system on Linux/open-source operating systems. Your expertise will be pivotal in maintaining the backbone of our innovative fintech solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enhance and optimize the existing database infrastructure
  • Manage day-to-day operational activities, including break/fix scenarios
  • Oversee capacity management, backup, and recovery processes
  • Configure and manage database High Availability Clusters and replication
  • Conduct ongoing reviews of database changes
  • Install, configure, and optimize MySQL database system on Linux/open source operating systems
  • Collaborate effectively with a team of fellow DBAs
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience working with MySQL v.8
  • Proficiency in Percona
  • Strong knowledge of database management and administration
  • Hands-on experience in configuring and optimizing MySQL databases on Linux/open source systems
Desired Skills:
  • Experience in cost-management domain
  • Familiarity with AI technologies
