As a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our intricate physical and cloud-based infrastructure. Key Responsibilities:
1. Security and Scalability:
- Collaborate with security and architecture functions to design and plan secure, scalable solutions.
- Lead the deployment and configuration of infrastructure components, including servers, storage, networking, and cloud resources.
2. Automation and Efficiency:
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline infrastructure provisioning and management.
- Recommend and implement security best practices to safeguard company data.
3. Performance Optimization:
- Monitor ongoing system performance and make recommendations for improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Evaluate usage patterns to forecast resource needs for scalability and cost-effectiveness.
4. Collaboration and Integration:
- Participate in incident management and resolution activities, collaborating with other IT and business resources.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including security, software development, and support, to deliver integrated solutions.
5. Documentation and Vendor Management:
- Maintain detailed documentation of infrastructure configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Manage relationships with technology vendors and evaluate new solutions and technologies for adoption.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 10 or more years of experience in Technology.
- Strong experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- In-depth knowledge of networking protocols and technologies.
- Familiarity with virtualization and containerization technologies (e.g., VMware, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized and ability to work independently.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus.
