Senior Network Engineer

We are assisting a prominent fintech firm in their search for full-time Senior Network Engineers. This position entails working at their Chicago office two to three days per week. The company leverages its cloud-native multi-tier investment management platform to assist clients in investment management, trading, and fund services. Over the past three years, they have been honored with the prestigious Best Institutional Investment Solution award at the FinTech Breakthrough Awards.

The ideal candidate for this role should possess a background in financial trading or fintech. They should also demonstrate proficiency in troubleshooting and be well-versed in switching and routing protocols, such as BGP or OSPF. Additionally, experience with Palo Alto firewall, Linux, and Cisco is highly desirable.
Required Skills & Experience

• Expertise in layer 3 dynamic routing protocols: MPLS, BGP, ISIS, OSPF.
• Experienced with 3+ networking and security protocols
• Proficiency in layer 2 networking protocols (multicast, spanning tree).
• Skilled in dark-fiber terminations and connectivity.
• Comfortable in the company's Linux environment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills from physical to application level.
• Hands-on with network hardware and tech (switches, routers, firewalls).
• Experience with Cisco Nexus, Arista, Palo Alto firewalls a plus.
• Deep understanding of data center network design and optimization.

Desire Skills and Experience

• 7+ years experience
• B.S. in Computer Science Engineering
• CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, JNCIE highly preferred
