Senior Platform Engineer / Machine Learning / Kubernetes

Job Description
We are helping a major MRO product distributor hire full-time lead Platform Engineers for machine learning infrastructure. While they are locally based, they are open to remote work! They serve various sectors like manufacturing, healthcare, etc., through an e-commerce platform, offering products and procurement solutions.
They need Platform Engineers with strong DevOps experience to collaborate with machine learning, data, and infrastructure teams to construct a scalable self-service ML platform. You will work heavily with Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS. Your role creates tools for the company’s AI capabilities using Deep Learning, NLP, and more. This presents an exciting opportunity to be part of a new team and build a platform from scratch!
Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of experience
• Strong software skills in testing, Python/Java preferred.
• Familiarity supporting ML frameworks and tools.
• Container and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Airflow).
• Cloud experience, AWS preferred (EKS, Lambda, Sagemaker)
• IAC (Terraform)

Desired Skills & Experience

• Designing & building large ML systems
• Model optimization, high-performance computing
• Experience building platforms from scratch
• B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field

What You Will Be Doing
Daily Responsibilities

• Develop self-service, automated ML platform components.
• Design, monitor, enhance scalable ML architecture
• Collaborate with data scientist/engineers, troubleshoot
• Stay current in ML/MLOps tools, suggest enhancements

• 20% collaboration
• 80% hands on
