Role Overview:
We are seeking an L2 Tech Support Engineer with a primary focus on Linux responsibilities. This role plays a crucial part within our tight-knit team, requiring interaction with developers, network professionals, and various IT experts. A broad knowledge base is key for success in this role.

Required Skills & Experience:
- Professional Experience: 5-7 years in a relevant technical role.
- Support Experience: Proficiency in providing L2/L3 technical support.
- Linux Administration: Strong background and hands-on experience in Linux administration.
- Networking and Firewall Skills: Familiarity with networking principles and firewall configurations.
- Education: B.S. in Computer Science or a related field.

Desired Skills & Experience:
- Scripting Proficiency: Knowledge of Python and Bash scripting.
- Location: Preferably local to the Chicago area.

Daily Responsibilities:
- Hands-On Tasks: Engage in 70% hands-on technical work, including troubleshooting, system administration, and support tasks related to our data management platform.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate 30% of the time with developers, network specialists, and other IT team members to address technical challenges and collaborate on projects.
