The Windows Systems Admin will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows Server environments with strong knowledge in networking and storage technologies. This role is expected to support a VDI/VMWare environment and is crucial in providing escalated support in diagnosing and resolving issues while working with third-party support vendors as needed.
Responsibilities:
The Windows Systems Admin will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows Server environments with strong knowledge in networking and storage technologies. This role is expected to support a VDI/VMWare environment and is crucial in providing escalated support in diagnosing and resolving issues while working with third-party support vendors as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Configure and administer Microsoft Active Directory (in accordance with best practices: Group Policies, PowerShell Scripting, etc.)
- Server virtualization, migration, and implementation (P2V, V2V, VDI)
- Configure and maintain the Network, Email, Cloud and VOIP infrastructure.
- Administer Firewalls, VPNs, and other items related to corporate IT security.
- System Backups and Recovery
- Prioritize and provide daily onsite helpdesk and break-fix support; tracked and documented via: Online Ticketing System.
- Perform daily preventative maintenance including but not limited to review of log files, review of file & directory security permissions.
- Experience with Windows 2012, 2016 & 2019 Server roles
- Experience with VDI (Virtual Desktop as a service) and vSphere.
- Installation, troubleshooting, and managing Microsoft products (Windows 10, and MS Office application suite) as well as Macs.
- Configuration, management, and troubleshooting skills for routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Experience with M365.
