Software Engineer / C++ / Hardware

Job Description A well-established company in the manufacturing industry is hiring a Software Engineer to their engineering team. Located in the Greater Pittsburgh area, they are looking for a few years of experience coding in C++ or Python in an embedded or hardware environment. This is a dynamic role in that you would also be working on microcontrollers, hardware engineering, and software. While you do not need to have experience in all those areas to be successful, you should have a passion for learning new technologies.

There are some exciting projects that you will be working on in order to make their machines smarter. Those projects include machine learning and complex algorithms so would be exposed to new concepts as well. This role will be onsite four days a week, has great benefits, and a strong work-life balance. Required Skills & Experience

• 1-4 years of C, C++, or Python
• 1-2 years of experience interpreting or working with schematics
• Experience working with microcontrollers
• BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering

Desired Skills & Experience

• Prior experience or internships in a similar field
• Specific experience with PLC
