IT Field Service Engineer

We are partnered with a medical company that works to help Eye Care Professionals grow their business and sustain financial success. They are looking for an IT Field Service Engineer to join their team and travel to their offices across the United States in order to support and build out their IT infrastructure. They are seeking engineers having experience with: Windows, Cisco, Fortinet, VPNs, and VLAN.

The position requires up to 80% travel. The team is based out of Dallas, Texas but their home base can be anywhere. This is a 3-6 month contract to hire opportunity.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware.
• Implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, firewall, routers, switches, controllers. Fortinet FortiGate experience is a big plus.
• Must be familiar with a wide base of technologies such as networking, network service (DHCP, DNS), wireless networking, and network security
• Working knowledge of VLANs and routing
• Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols
• Working knowledge and troubleshooting of SMB Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy.
• Working knowledge of VPN / IPsec VPN topology, setup and trouble shooting
• Ability to work with all levels of staff within and outside of IT and outside the organization
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
