Linux System Engineer / Telecommunications / Dallas

We are partnered with a fiber broadband startup company in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. They are seeking a System Engineer to join their team.

Some responsibilities include designing their support systems, coordinating, leading, and actively deploying those systems, and supporting them once they've been deployed. They are seeking talented, enthusiastic candidates who are excited to be a part of a growing company with a greenfield network. Ideally, they are looking for candidates skilled with Linux (Ubuntu) and Windows, VMWare ESXi and VShpere, SQL Server, and some desktop support experience. Any security experience a plus.

This will be a full-time direct hire opportunity. Onsite in their Dallas, Texas office. Required Skills & Experience

• 5-10 years of experience
• Linux- Ubuntu
• Windows
• VMWare – ESXi and VSphere
• SQL server
• Desktop support experience

What You Will Be Doing Daily Responsibilities

• 80% Hands On – Support and maintaining servers, supporting other business systems and third party vendors, upgrades, capacity planning, troubleshoot technical issues from customers or platform support teams and work with systems vendors and service providers to provide resolution to technical issues.
