IT System Administrator

You will own the development, operation, maintenance, and security of our IT systems (classified and unclassified) for our Durham, NC, office.

We are looking for someone who:

• is a motivated self-starter, focused on implementing innovative, efficient, and effective IT system operation & security solutions
• has a working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems operation and security features in physical and virtual environments
• is proactive in identifying system deficiencies and providing recommendations for solutions
• will work closely with the project leads to ensure IT and security needs are met
• will partner with the Facility Security Officer (FSO) and Insider Threat Program Senior Official (ITPSO) to support general security and insider threat detection requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Demonstrated experience in day-to-day troubleshooting and management of IT systems.
• Minimum 2 years of hand-on experience in administering Linux environments (preferably Ubuntu/Debian).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in primarily on-premises (i.e. non-cloud) focused environments including support of hardware for computation, storage, and networking.
• Experience supporting technically savvy end users in computationally focused environments such as engineering, AI/ML, quantitative finance, etc.
• Familiarity with at least one of Windows or MacOS desktop environments.
• Ability to work in Durham, NC (relocation assistance available). Remote candidates will not be considered.
• Familiarity with at least one of Azure Active Directory or LDAP.
• Eligibility for U.S. Government security clearance.

BONUS SKILLS

• Experience with Microsoft O365 ecosystem.
• Experience deploying and managing virtual machines.
• Familiarity with Azure Active Directory or LDAP.
• Experience with Nvidia GPU/CUDA ecosystem.
• Experience with NIST 800-53, 800-171, CMMC, etc.
