Cooling System Engineer

Job Description My client to add a cooling system engineer for their team in Erie, PA. You would be evaluating and improving the performance of cooling systems on battery electric locomotives, and design electrical locomotives. You would also be selecting components for the cooling systems as well.
Required Skills & Experience

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering
•  Knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics and heat transfer principles.
• Understanding of materials science, including the properties and behavior of materials used in 
  thermal management systems
•  Familiarity with simulation tools, such as CFD and FEA software

What You Will Be Doing

• Working on Power Electronics on battery electric and diesel electric locomotives
• Selecting system components
• Establishing thermal and mechanical requirements for power electronics cooling systems
