Network Engineer / IP /Telecommunications

A fiber broadband startup company in the Dallas-Fort Worth area is looking for a Network Engineer to join their team. 

Some responsibilities include designing of the company’s all-optical broadband platform, coordinating, leading, and actively deploying the equipment, and supporting it all once it's deployed. They are seeking talented, enthusiastic candidates who are excited to be a part of a growing company with a greenfield network. They are ideally looking for engineers who have prior experience working in the telecommunications, fiber, or broadband industries. 

Right now they are looking for an IP Network Engineer skilled in routing, switching, & cabling of IP/Wifi & Cisco. Must have strong understanding of BGP. DWDM experience is a plus.

This will be a full-time direct hire opportunity, onsite in their Grapevine, TX office. Required Skills & Experience

• IP Networking – Routing, Switching, Cabling experience
• Working knowledge of optical transmission systems, XGS-PON, Wi-Fi, and/or IP routing and switching
• Cisco based networking
• Practical experience using these technologies in a service provider environment
• Hands-on deployment and troubleshooting skills

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience working with Nokia equipment
• Security experience
• DWDM experience is a plus
• Telecom, Fiber, or Broadband experience
