Greenvale Long Island // Senior Network Security Engineer

Important! This role is in Greenvale, NY, and we're looking for someone who'll be able to join us in the office on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. 

A global payment technology SaaS company is looking for a Network Security Engineer. This will be a higher level network engineering position while also being involved with network penetration and vulnerability testing. This position will largely be an independent individual contributor position, but will also occasionally involve managing data center subcontractors during equipment installations. 

Responsibilities:

• Install, configure and support network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP
• Configuring firewalls to maximize network efficiency and security
• Coordinating network penetration tests
• Continuously updating network equipment with firmware releases
• Work with engineers in the development, infrastructure and DevOps organizations as needed

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience in network engineering
• Strong experience with the design and implementation of firewalls, DNS, email security, network vulnerability scanning and incident response tools and procedures
• Familiarity with Shell scripting
• Understanding of IAM and account management strategies
• CISSP is a giant plus
