Embedded Developer

This manufacturing company based in Alabama is growing and looking to bring on an experienced embedded developer to join their team because of it! You would be working with Windows and Linux systems on their complex handheld computer devices that are throughout different government agencies. Each candidate should have at least 2 years of experience using C++, C, and Python and previous professional experience working with embedded systems.

Please note that due to the nature of the role, this is a 5-day onsite role in either Huntsville or Montgomery, Alabama. Required Skills & Experience

• BS in Computer Science or related field
• 3+ years of professional experience in software development in the Microsoft .NET stack
• Knowledge of C++, C, and Python scripting languages
• Experience working with Linux and Windows systems
• Experience in development of the software for microcontrollers
• Knowledge of standard computer interfaces
• Experience with standard PC peripherals and peripheral interfaces
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience in the aerospace or military industry is a plus
• Knowledge of Microsoft OS installation tools & techniques is a plus
• Knowledge of Intel x86/x64 and ARM hardware architectures is a plus
• Knowledge of Linux based OS installation tools & techniques is a plus
• Knowledge of kernel development & compiler techniques preferred
