Our client is seeking a QA Tester for a 6+ month contract in Irving, TX. Will be working on an Onsite schedule. 

Contract Duration: 6 Months

Required Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 5 to 6 years of experience as a QA tester.
  • Experience writing test cases and performing functional, non-functional and regression testing.
  • Experience with relational databases and no SQL for performing backend testing when necessary.
  • Expertise in Java, Selenium, SQL Server, PostgreSQL.
  • Experience writing test cases for APIs (SoapUI/ RestAssured) and executing them.
  • Experience doing log analysis using logz, kibana.
  • Experience with Behavior Driven Development (BDD) or Test-Driven Development (TDD), and related tools (e.g., Cucumber).

Desired Skills & Experience
  • Experience designing tests for automation and executing automated tests.
  • Experience using Jira and Zephyr scale.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Quality assurance (QA) which includes Manual and Automation testing with hands on experience in all phases of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
  • Extensive work experience in all stages of STLC & expertise in Functional, Progression & Regression Testing methods for POS application in QA & UAT.
  • Work with product owner to ensure test cases are available for Development team before iteration start.
  • Ability to do log and database analysis to provide additional context to issues.
