Business Analyst / Finance

We are looking for a Business Analyst or Data Analyst to join a family-owned FinTech company based out of Chicago with fully remote flexibility. This company is ingesting financial data from multiple trading venues, normalizing it, and feeding it into other customizable streams to help their customers.
In this role, you’ll be leveraging Python and NoSQL Databases to extract valuable insights from complex financial data sets. As a key member of the team, you’ll work closely with the CEO and COO of the organization and interface with clients to help improve processes and impact future roadmaps. Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
• Experience working in Financial Services or FinTech organizations
• Proven experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role, with a focus on utilizing Python and NoSQL databases.
• Strong proficiency in Python programming and experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Knowledge of data analysis techniques, such as data manipulation, aggregation, and statistical analysis.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to present findings in a clear and visually appealing manner.
• Experience with data modeling, database design, and SQL for data retrieval and manipulation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into technical specifications.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of agile methodologies and experience working in an agile environment.
• Familiarity with data governance principles and best practices for data management.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver high-quality work within deadlines.
