Position Overview

The Data Analyst/Engineer will be a critical player in our transition from a SQL/Tableau stack to an innovative environment leveraging SQL, PowerBI, and Snowflake. This role calls for an individual prepared to harness the dynamic functionalities of our new toolset to extract actionable insights and drive increased donations for our nonprofit clientele.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Migration and Integration: Lead efforts in migrating existing data infrastructures to our new SQL, PowerBI, and Snowflake stack, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption to ongoing operations.

  • Database Management: Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL databases, working closely with stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and availability.

  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize PowerBI to create dynamic, visually compelling reports and dashboards that provide insights and facilitate data-driven decision-making.

  • Data Security and Compliance: Work to uphold the highest standards of data security, safeguarding sensitive information and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and best practices.

  • Collaboration and Training: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and offer support. Train team members on the new toolset to foster a data-centric culture.

  • Process Optimization: Continually seek opportunities to optimize data processes, leveraging the capabilities of Snowflake to enhance data storage, retrieval, and analysis functionalities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.

  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a data role, with proven expertise in SQL and experience transitioning to PowerBI and Snowflake.

  • Skills:

    • SQL: Mastery in SQL database management and query optimization.
    • PowerBI: Proficiency in building reports and dashboards using PowerBI.
    • Snowflake: Experience with Snowflake data warehousing solutions is a plus.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
