As an Network Security Engineer, for the Global Financial Corporation we are working with your primary role is to ensure the security, integrity, and availability of network infrastructure. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining network security measures to protect the organization's systems and data from unauthorized access, vulnerabilities, and threats. Your specific job responsibilities may include:
  1. Network Security Architecture: Designing and implementing secure network architectures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), intrusion prevention systems (IPS), virtual private networks (VPNs), and other security technologies.
  2. Vulnerability Management: Conducting regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential security weaknesses in the network infrastructure. Implementing appropriate remediation measures to address identified vulnerabilities.
  3. Network Monitoring: Monitoring network traffic and security logs to detect and respond to security incidents, intrusions, and suspicious activities. Implementing network monitoring tools and processes to ensure timely detection and response.
  4. Firewall Management: Configuring and managing firewalls to control network traffic and enforce security policies. Regularly reviewing firewall rulesets to ensure they align with security best practices and business requirements.
  5. Incident Response: Developing and implementing incident response procedures to address network security incidents. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to investigate and mitigate security breaches or unauthorized access incidents.
  6. Security Policy and Standards: Developing and maintaining network security policies, standards, and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Ensuring network infrastructure adheres to these security policies.
  7. Security Audits and Compliance: Participating in security audits and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of network security controls and identify areas for improvement. Ensuring compliance with relevant security standards and regulations.
In summary, you will play a critical role in protecting the network infrastructure from security threats, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive information, and maintaining compliance with relevant security standards and regulations.
