A SaaS company is hiring a Mid to Senior Java Engineer to join their team of 8. This company develops biology-based software products used by doctors to test and view medical results of patients, creating the next generation of life-saving devices. In this role you will work on a variety of software applications, mainly focused on the client- facing platform used by doctors. This platform allows doctors to order, track, and view results for the entire product suite. It also enables doctors to stay in touch with patients through a portal chat feature. This role is heavily involved with data tracking on the backend using Java, Spring Boot, Rest API, Microservices, AWS/Azure and SQL. Any JavaScript is a plus. In this role you will also be using Kubernetes, Docker, Python, and React, but it is not required for this position. The company prides itself on training and growing employees. They will start you off doing 70% new development and continue to provide larger and more complex new development projects as you grow in your career.
This position is remote four days a week, but will be onsite one day in Los Angeles, so you must be local to apply. - 3+ years of professional Java development Experience
- Experience using Spring Boot
- Computer Science Fundamentals
- Experience with JavaScript
- Rest Microservices
- Cloud exposure (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- SQL
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related degree
- Desire to learn and grow in your career
